Groundwater levels in Hursley are high but have fallen by 27cm in the last week. During that time, 27mm of rain was recorded at Hursley. Cellar flooding and sewerage systems impacts are expected to be ongoing in the village. During the next 4 days, spells of rain and showers, some of which may be heavy, are expected to affect Hampshire, with between 5 and 30mm of rain possible in that time. Groundwater levels are predicted to continue slowly falling during the next week, but may stabilise or rise for a day if heavy rainfall affects the area. Flooding impacts are expected to continue throughout much of May. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operational. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Thursday 23/05/2024.
