Groundwater levels in Deane and Ashe are high but continue to slowly fall. During the last week, 14mm of rain has been recorded at Overton. The level at our borehole in Oakley has fallen by 32cm during that time. Cellar flooding is expected to be ongoing in Deane. Groundwater spring flows continue to affect land, and septic tanks will be struggling to operate effectively. From today 14/05/2024 to Saturday 18/05/2024, periods of rain and showers are expected to affect Hampshire with between 10 and 50mm of rain possible during this time. Groundwater levels are expected to continue falling. Groundwater flooding impacts in Deane and Ashe are expected to continue for at least 10 days. If heavy rain affects the area, flooding impacts are likely to be prolonged. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operational. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Tuesday 21/05/2024.
