Flood Warning: Groundwater flooding in the Alton area

Groundwater levels remain high at our Farringdon borehole near the Alton area.

Groundwater levels remain above normal levels for this time of year but have started to decline slowly. Low lying land, gardens, roads and cellars will therefore continue to be at risk of flooding. We expect levels to continue to slowly fall over the next few weeks as we move through spring.

We are continuing to monitor groundwater levels and will update this message on 21/05/2024, or as the situation changes.
